Ingredients
- Meat (Beef, Mutton, Chicken): 1 kg
- Basmati Rice: 1 kg
- Onions (medium, finely sliced): 3 pieces
- Tomatoes (medium, finely chopped): 4 pieces
- Yogurt (whisked): 1 cup (250 grams)
- Garlic (paste): 2 tablespoons
- Ginger (paste): 2 tablespoons
- Oil / Ghee: (250 grams)
- Green chilies (finely chopped, medium): 10 pieces
- Yaqub Biryani Masala: 1 packet
Steps to Make
- Fry the onions in oil until golden brown. Now add meat, tomatoes, garlic, ginger, yogurt, and Yaqub Biryani Masala and sauté well. Now add enough water so that the meat becomes tender.
- Then increase the heat, add green chilies, and cook until the oil separates.
- In 3 liters of boiling water, add 3 tablespoons of salt and then add the pre-soaked rice. When the rice boils to the stage where one grain remains slightly firm in the center, drain the water.
- In a pot, spread one layer of rice and one layer of masala-coated meat. Then add the remaining rice on top, sprinkle yellow food color, and cover for dum (steam cooking). Give dum for at least 10 minutes. Open and mix the rice well.
