Ingredients
- Meat (Beef / Mutton / Chicken): 1 kg
- Basmati Rice: 1 kg
- Onions (medium, finely sliced): 3 pieces
- Tomatoes (medium, finely chopped): 4 pieces
- Yogurt (whisked): (250 grams)
- Garlic (paste): 2 tablespoons
- Ginger (paste): 2 tablespoons
- Whole green chilies: 16 pieces
- Potatoes: 3 pieces
- Oil / Ghee: (250 grams)
- Yaqub Bombay Biryani Masala: 1 packet
Steps to Make
- Fry the onions in oil until golden brown. Now add meat, tomatoes, garlic, ginger, yogurt, and Yaqub Bombay Biryani Masala and sauté well.
- Now add potatoes and enough water so that the meat becomes tender. Then increase the heat, add whole green chilies, and cook until the oil separates.
- In 3 liters of boiling water, add 3 tablespoons of salt and then add the pre-soaked rice. When the rice boils well and one grain remains slightly firm in the center, drain the water. In a pot, spread one layer of rice and one layer of masala-coated meat.
- Then add the remaining rice on top, sprinkle yellow food color, and cover for dum (steam cooking). Give dum for at least 10 minutes. Open and mix the rice well.
- Delicious Yaqub Bombay Biryani is ready. Dish out and enjoy with raita and salad.
