Ingredients
- Meat (Beef / Mutton / Chicken): 1 kg
- Basmati Rice: 1 kg
- Onions (sliced): 3 medium
- Tomatoes (chopped): 4 medium
- Yogurt (whisked): 250 grams
- Garlic (paste): 2 tablespoons
- Ginger (paste): 2 tablespoons
- Potatoes (medium): 3 pieces
- Whole green chilies: 12 pieces
- Oil / Ghee: 250 grams
- Yaqub Sindhi Biryani Masala: 1 packet
Steps to Make
- Fry onions until deep golden. Add meat, tomatoes, garlic, ginger, yogurt, and Yaqub Sindhi Biryani Masala; bhun until oil separates.
- Add potatoes, whole chilies, and water; cook until meat is tender.
- Parboil soaked rice in salted water until slightly firm; drain.
- Layer rice and meat masala in a heavy pot. Add food color if desired, cover, and dum on low heat for 12–15 minutes.
- Mix gently and serve with raita.
