Yakhni Pulao Masala

Yakhni Pulao Masala delivers the traditional aromatic taste of authentic Yakhni Pulao in one convenient box. A perfectly balanced blend of premium spices for flavorful beef, mutton or chicken pulao cooked in rich stock (yakhni).

Ingredients

  • Meat (Beef, Mutton or Chicken): 1 kg
  • Basmati Rice: 1 kg
  • Onions (medium, finely sliced): 3 pieces (300 grams)
  • Tomatoes (medium, finely chopped): 3 pieces (300 grams)
  • Whole green chilies: 6 pieces
  • Garlic (paste) / Whole garlic: 1 tablespoon / 6 cloves
  • Ginger (paste): 1.5 tablespoons
  • Oil / Ghee: (250 grams)
  • Yaqub Yakhni Pulao Masala: 1 packet

Steps to Make

  1. In 8 cups of water, add meat, 6 peeled whole garlic cloves and half packet of Yaqub Yakhni Pulao Masala. Cook until the stock (yakhni) is prepared and the meat becomes tender. When ready, separate the meat and measure the stock, which should be equal to 6 cups. If less, add water to complete.
  2. In a separate pot, heat oil and fry onions until golden. Add tomatoes, garlic paste, ginger paste and the separated meat. Add the remaining half packet of Yaqub Yakhni Pulao Masala and sauté well.
  3. Add the prepared stock and adjust salt if required. Add whole green chilies. When the stock starts boiling, add the pre-soaked rice and cook on high heat until the water dries.
  4. When the water dries, cover the pot with a cloth under the lid and steam (dum) on low heat for 10 minutes.
  5. Delicious Yakhni Pulao is ready. Open the lid, mix gently with a spoon and serve with raita and shami kebab.

Salt, Red chili, Coriander, Cumin, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Mace, Garlic, Ginger, Green cardamom, Black cardamom, Black pepper, Star anise, Cloves, Dried plums.
